Deep Space 2 (DS2) works with other technology programs
and New Millennium projects
at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory to
introduce a broader understanding among K-12 students of the benefits of
space technology.
DS2 also partners with the
International Technology Education Association (ITEA)
to educate children about the practical uses of
technology. Curriculum on the DS2 mission and spacecraft design has been published in ITEA's "Technology
Teacher" magazine. Also, on
The Space Place, an
interactive Web site for children, educational activities will introduce
some of the most advanced technologies being developed for use in
future NASA missions.
