MARS GLOBAL SURVEYOR ORBITAL INFORMATION
AEROBRAKING ORBIT ELEMENTS
These are classical, osculating orbit elements at periapsis (perifocus) and apoapsis (apofocus) with the epochs in ephemeris time (ET).
The coordinate system is defined as follows:
Mars-centered orbit,
Reference Plane: Mars mean equator of date,
X-Axis: Mars mean equator of date and Earth mean equator of J2000
( IAU vector Of epoch J2000 ).
Related quantities:
GM Mars ( km**3/s**2 ) 42,828.314
Key to Abreviations:
DOY - Day of Year
SMA - Semimajor Axis
Ecc - Eccentricity
Inc - Inclination
Arg Peri - Argument of Periapsis
