Datatake Envisat ASAR September 10, 2005 at 08:51 East Baltic Sea Comment Low contrast patch (1) corresponds to the damping of small-scale waves by surfactant films in a wind shadow area. High concentration of sufactant films to the west of the Baltic Spit is revealed in low-wind stripes related to packets of atmospheric internal waves (2). Film pollutants of mixed origin in Kaliningrad Bay as well as the outflow from the Bay are also clearly manifested (3). Image |
