Our collection contains previews of images of ocean and sea surface taken by various satellite, aircraft and ground-based remote sensing instruments. Active and passive instruments operating in microwave and optical ranges present their capabilities to register physical and biological phenomena manifesting themselves in bands of slicks on the sea surface.
This collection is built as part of INTAS project Slicks as Indicators of Marine Processes (SIMP) and, aside illustrative purposes, is meant to contain all relevant information needed for data analysis and development of image processing algorithms in the framework of the project.
