Abstract:

Artificial intelligence in patent research is utilized for automating processes in the analysis of patent data, identifying technology development trends, forecasting patentability, and determining international patent classification (IPC) codes. In the report various aspects of applying artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of patent research are considered: the use of natural language processing (NLP) algorithms for analyzing textual descriptions of patents, extracting keywords, phrases, and terms, etc. Additionally, machine learning methods for analyzing patent features related to patentability and predicting the likelihood of patentability are discussed. Other aspects include identifying semantically similar patents, generating structured reports based on results, and analyzing large volumes of patent data using AI.

The information extracted from patent documents can be automatically structured in the forms of patent reports and patent landscapes.
