Abstract:
Collective behavior of spacecraft in homogeneous or non-homogeneous groups that comprise distributed or federated space systems is a key factor
to develop disruptive space missions such as multi-robot planetary exploration, on-orbit self-assembly and satellites swarms for synchronized
observations. The goal of this project is to develop a set of algorithms to take advantage of the collective multipoint measurements
of physical quantities in the vicinity of neighbouring points in space and improve their estimates relatively to their true value.
These algorithms will include enhanced attitude determination algorithms based on the information sharing in the group, enhanced
geomagnetic field measurements, algorithms of short-arc space debris orbits determination in the limited amount of observational time.
