Mars Climate Orbiter: Launch -44 Days

Risc Watch station was set up and configured and side B of the orbiter was recovered. Flight software version 8.0.1 was loaded. The orbiter network schedule was revised. Further mission system testing is deferred until after the final software build (8.2) is delivered on Monday, November 2.

Mars Polar Lander: Launch -68 days

The backshell was installed and flight software 8.0 was loaded.
