Mars Climate Orbiter (At Kennedy Space Center): Launch -68 Days

The Power Distribution and Drive Unit (PDDU) interface and functionality was reverified successfully on the orbiter vehicle on October 2. No orbiter test activities are scheduled over the weekend.

Mars Polar Lander (At Kennedy Space Center): Launch -92 days

The lander was removed from the shipping container and moved into the Spacecraft Assembly and Encapsulation Facility (SAEF-2) high bay. The heat shield was removed from the lander. Processing activities are proceeding somewhat slowly due to normal startup activities and team safety training.
