Mars Climate Orbiter (At Kennedy Space Center): Launch -72 Days

Set up for oxidizer loading is complete however the oxidizer sample showed a higher than normal level of particulate matter. The sampling will be repeated tomorrow to determine whether the oxidizer actually contains high levels of particulates or whether the observed contamination was due to the sampling procedure. Loading of oxidizer on the spacecraft will occur on Thursday after the lander has been moved into the Spacecraft Assembly and Encapsulation Facility (SAEF-2) high bay.

Mars Polar Lander (In Denver, Colorado): Launch -96 days

Diode rework/retesting of the Power Distribution and Drive Unit (PDDU) and Command and Data Handling (C&DH) boxes continues to proceed ahead of schedule. The C-17 arrived at Buckley AFB for lander shipment.
