1998 MARS SURVEYOR PROJECT STATUS REPORT

Orbiter integration and test activities are proceeding on schedule. Troubleshooting and repair of the various Pressure Modulator InfraRed Radiometer (PMIRR) anomalies continues with full resolution expected by the end of the month.

Lander heat shield separation and Medium Gain Antenna deployment tests were conducted successfully. Thermal modifications to the lander to implement the passive thermal control approach are in progress.
