1998 MARS SURVEYOR PROJECT STATUS REPORT

Mars Surveyor 98 Project Manager

Orbiter and lander integration and test activities are proceeding on schedule with no significant problems. The orbiter spacecraft is in the thermal vacuum chamber at Lockheed Martin with chamber pump down scheduled for April 13. The lander spacecraft in full cruise configuration (with DS-2 microprobe mass simulators attached) completed acoustic testing successfully on April 6. Lander ElectroMagnetic Interference/Compatibility (EMI/EMC) testing is scheduled to begin April 16.
