Syrtis Major was seen right on the Morning limb, and there was also some slight fog over Aeria and Neith Regio. Isidis regio appeared brighter than the surroundings. To the south, Mare Cimmerium and Mare Sirenum were seen, bordered by the lighter regions of Zephyria and Aeolis. Aethiopis was a little darker and Elysium a little lighter. The dark feature Chaos was easily seen, but surprisingly, no trace of Nodus Alcyonius was seen.

To the North, Utopia och Casius appeared dark and distinct, with Uchronia and Lemuria reaching towards the evening limb. On the evening limb, a localized cloud appeared over the areas of Styx and Trivium Charontis.

To the far South, Ausonia appered very bright.
