The telescope that Richard Schmude uses is a 51 cm Newtonian with a focal length of 90 inches; the telescope, however, was stopped down to 5 inches. The magnification was 570X; the seeing was quite good (7 on a scale of 10=perfect). The drawing was done in integrated light; however Richard used color filters to make notes.

Green filter notes: The following limb bright spot at 30N and the bright spot near the Preceeding limb (30N, 220W) were faint. Hellas is bright but Libya is not bright in the green (#58) filter.

Red (#25) filter notes: Libya is bright but Hellas is only faintly bright. The north polar cap is not visible.
