This is a composite color image of Mars obtained from the Lowell Observatory 31" telescope at 8:06 UT on February 15, 1997. The colors are a combination of images obtained through standard B, V, and R astronomical filters. Observers: Jim Bell, Jeff Moersch (Cornell), Leonard Martin (Lowell Obs.), Bob Howell (Univ. Wyoming).
