"Optical afterglow of GRB030329: first results and new approaches to observations" A. Pozanenko (IKI), V.Rumyantsev (CrAO), M. Ibrahimov (UBAI), S.Bondar' (Kosmoten), G.Beskin (SAO) on behalf of large collaboration Abstract: Afterglow of GRB030329 was measured by a large collaboration of Ukrainian, Uzbekistan and Russian telescopes. In particular, fast variability on tume scale 1-1000 seconds is investigated with C600 telescope (Kosmoten), polarization and UBVRI light curve is measured for the 1st day of the burst (AZT-11, CrAO), detailed light curve was obtained (K-380, AT-64, CrAO) within several days after burst and variability on time scale of a few hours is found. Long term color BVRI evolution is investigated with 1.5m telescope of high altitude Maidanak observatory. The measurements of Maidanak observatory (UT+5) also fill the gap between European and American observations. Despite
a successful GRB030329 afterglow observation, the problem of a
search GRB optical counterpart (Optical Transient in place of GRB) still
remains. We propose a new approach to OT search. First results
obtained with wide filed optical camera specially designed for OT search
and investigation of GRB optic prompt emission is presented. The camera is
constructed in cooperation with Kosmoten station. |
