"Ultra-High Energy Cosmic Rays: status of the problem" D. Semikoz (Max-Planck-Institut fur Physik, Theory Division) Abstract: There are several puzzles Ultra-High Energy Cosmic Ray (UHECR) experimental data. The observed events are uniformly distributed over sky, however small scale clusters are statistically significant. Situation with Grezen-Zatsepin-Kuzmin cutoff (break in UHECR proton spectrum due to interaction with CMBR) is experimentally unclear. In
this talk I'll review existing UHECR experiments and present their results,
future experiments and their possibilities. Also I'll discuss most
favorite theoretical models and possible sources of UHECRs. |
