In accordance with the RAS Physical Sciences Division working plan for 2014 year scientific events, an International Conference "Mode Conversion, Coherent Structures and Turbulence" will be held in the Space Research Institute of RAS during the period from 24 up to 27 November 2014. This Conference is devoted to Prof.S.S.Moiseev’s memory regards to his 85-th birthday year. The conference MSS-2009 is the sequel of international conference MSS-04 and MSS-09 which were held in the Space Research Institute of RAS during November in 2004 and 2009 years. The international conference MSS-14 is organized by Space Research Institute with participation of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Scientific Council on Nonlinear Dynamics of RAS.

      At MSS-14 Conference with the participation of leading Russian specialists and foreign ones it is supposed to discuss the modern state of investigations in the fields of waves transformation in the inhomogeneous, nonstationary and nonlinear media (the geophysics, plasmas, chiral media), the coherent structures generation (including the large-scale helical vortices) and the turbulence nonlinear dynamics by usage of new approaches to these problems analytical investigations and numerical simulations of processes considered, the techniques of experimental data collection, methods of these data processing and results obtained correct interpretations, the development of modern methods for the forecasting of nonlinear dynamics of large-scale structures and their applications in natural disasters analysis, the study also of nonequilibrium medium states forming under powerfull sources pumping.
